Making Change
A social entrepreneur from her university days, Lisa is focused on supporting education and building community here in Canada and around the world. She champions changemakers, offering resources rather than solutions. Always trying to do things differently, Lisa early on developed a passion for building awareness surrounding the impact of colonialism on the relationship between Canada and Indigenous peoples.
Lisa is currently working on a feature film in development highlighting racism against Indigenous women.

First celebrated in 2005 then again in 2017 and on, the ILF is an inclusive, interactive and engaging platform to bring down barriers and increase understanding through conversation and stories.

Created by Lisa in 2008, this series was designed to inspire the local community into action through the power of documentaries bringing a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of some of the most important ecological and social justice issues facing our planet.

ELEPHANT THOUGHTS
A social entrepreneur before most people had ever heard the term, Lisa is co-creator of the innovative children’s education charity Elephant Thoughts. Focused on collaboration and supporting learning in impoverished and remote communities globally. Lisa believes that education is the key to freedom and prosperity.

EQUINOX AWARENESS ALLIANCE
Longstanding shared misinformation and unconscious bias has led to conflict, racism, and inequity between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous populations. This injustice motivated Lisa to create the national public awareness campaign, Equinox. Equinox is striving to change this long-standing paradigm through increased education, awareness and engagement.
