As co-creator of the global children’s education charity Elephant Thoughts, Lisa draws from 30 years+ of award winning innovation and commitment bringing awareness and understanding to important social justice issues. She has worked alongside impoverished communities around the world – India, Tanzania, Nepal, Nicaragua and China collaborating on education support while inspiring good global citizens back home. Her focus on building awareness and understanding among non-native populations regarding our colonial history and subsequent issues facing Indigenous peoples is at the core of her values of equity, diversity and inclusivity. Lisa is a changemaker at heart but has made many mistakes and endured bumps along the way. She continues to learn and grow from her experiences, friends, foes, family and communities both in Canada and globally.
